- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪My youngest brother suffered a knee injury playing a footy match in Birmingham 6 weeks ago. Travelled back to the Isle of Wight that day & went straight to A&E at St. Mary's hospital. They fobbed him off, suggesting it was just a sprain. After 3 weeks of agony and being bed ridden he had to be taken to hospital again for a second opinion by a surgeon who told him it was ridiculous that he hadn't put any weight on it since & that a lad his age should have been up & walking on it by now. After a war of words he finally agreed to send him for an MRI scan. He's had his results back today. After SIX WEEKS of being neglected by the 'medical professionals' at St. Mary's Hospital on the Isle of Wight & being left at home in sickening pain, discovered today what we feared from the start; he's completely ruptured his ACL. Having suffered 6 major knee injuries myself & been through 3 operations I'm so upset for him & I'm infuriated by the treatment he's received.by Pangaea EarthOctober 21, 2017
